In South Africa, in the extreme south of the African continent, there are extreme deserts in the Kalahari, on the border with Namibia, subtropical forests in the southeast, as well as mountain ranges such as Drakensberg, parallel to the Indian Ocean. The beaches, lush vineyards and sheer cliffs of the Cape of Good Hope highlight the diversity of the country. Kruger National Park is home to large domestic animals. Namibia, located in southwestern Africa, is characterized by the Namib Desert along the Atlantic coast. To the north is the Etosha National Park, whose swamps attract many wildlife such as rhinos and giraffes. The landscape of Botswana, a landlocked country in South Africa, is a desert on the one hand, and a huge river delta with seasonal floods, a habitat of lush vegetation and many animals on the other.
